Podkarpackie Voivoidship is situated in the south-eastern Poland, borders on Slovakia on the length of 134 km and Ukraine on the length of 236 km. There are 2 mln 97 thousand inhabitants living in Podkarpackie which is 5,5% of the whole population in the country. There are 118,7 people per 1 km² and the voivodeship is on the seventh place in the country as far as the population density is concerned. The most populated łańcucki poviat has 172 people per 1 km². The least populated poviat is bieszczadzki one 26 people per 1 km².
